What is actually loosening
Skin gets its firmness from collagen and elastin, and production of both slows with age while ultraviolet exposure breaks down what is already there. Add the loss of fat and bone support underneath, and skin that used to sit over a full structure now has more surface than it needs. That is why laxity and volume loss usually arrive together and why treating only one of them gives a partial result.
Treatments that work within the ceiling
RF skin resurfacing heats the deeper skin to trigger collagen production, and because it works with heat rather than light it is generally safer across a wide range of skin tones. Microneedling does the same through controlled micro-injury. On the body, skin tightening treats crepey texture on the abdomen, arms and thighs. All of them build over months, and all of them are honest about working on mild to moderate laxity.
Sometimes the answer is support, not tightening
Where a jawline is blurring because the chin and cheek have lost structure, restoring that structure with filler or Sculptra can do more for the outline than any tightening device. A face with too much skin for the structure underneath looks lax; give the structure back and the skin has something to sit over again.

When we will tell you to see a surgeon
If you have loose skin after major weight loss, significant jowling, or a neck where the skin hangs rather than softens, no non-surgical device will fix it. We would rather tell you that at a consultation than take you through a series that cannot deliver. That is not a sales technique in reverse; it is the difference between a plan and a package.
What suits you is decided at consultation, from your skin and your history. Consultations are complimentary.
