Oxygen Facial in Boca Raton, FL

Skin analysis and paramedical aesthetician consult, then microdermabrasion, ultrasound, and oxygen therapy in one appointment.

An oxygen facial is a multi-step treatment that cleans, resurfaces and rehydrates the skin in one visit, finishing with pressurized oxygen and a serum infusion. Ours is performed at our Boca Raton med spa by a paramedical aesthetician and starts with a skin analysis rather than a fixed menu. Plan on about an hour. Book a facial or see current specials.

What is actually in the treatment

The appointment opens with a skin analysis and a consult with a paramedical aesthetician, so the steps that follow are chosen for your skin rather than applied by default. From there it runs through cleansing, microdermabrasion to lift dull surface cells, ultrasound to work product into the skin, and the oxygen and serum infusion that gives the treatment its name. Each stage does a different job and the order matters.

  • Skin analysis and consult
  • Deep cleanse
  • Microdermabrasion
  • Ultrasound infusion
  • Oxygen and serum therapy

Who it suits

It is a good first treatment if you have never had professional skincare, because nothing about it is aggressive and you leave looking better rather than pink. People book it for dullness, dehydration, and the flat look skin gets after a long stretch of poor sleep or travel. If what you are hoping to improve is acne scarring, deep lines or pigmentation, this is a maintenance treatment rather than a corrective one, and microneedling or a chemical peel would be the stronger route.

It is a series, not a one-off

One facial produces a visible but short-lived result. Skin renews on a cycle of several weeks, so treatments booked on that rhythm compound in a way a single appointment cannot. Ask your aesthetician what interval suits your skin rather than rebooking only when you have an event.

Performed or supervised by our medical director, Marc L. Epstein, M.D.

What to expect

You will be asked about your current routine, any prescription skincare, and recent sun exposure before anything starts. The treatment itself is comfortable throughout; microdermabrasion feels like light sandpaper passing over the skin and the oxygen step is cool and pleasant. There is no peeling and no downtime. Most people leave looking brighter and slightly flushed for an hour or so.

Aftercare

  • Wear sunscreen; freshly resurfaced skin burns more easily.
  • Skip retinoids and acids for two days.
  • Avoid saunas, steam rooms and hot yoga for 24 hours.
  • Drink water and keep the skin simple for a day.
  • Rebook on the interval your aesthetician recommends, not just before events.
Have a question?

Oxygen Facial questions people actually ask

Is there any downtime after an oxygen facial?

No. Skin may look slightly flushed for an hour or so and then settles. It is one of the few treatments you can have before an evening out on the same day.

How often should I have one?

On the rhythm of your skin's renewal cycle rather than only before events. Your aesthetician will suggest an interval after the skin analysis.

Will it help acne?

It helps congestion and dullness, and the deep cleanse and microdermabrasion steps clear surface build-up. Active or persistent acne needs a plan rather than a facial, and that starts with a consultation.

Can I wear makeup afterward?

You can, though skin looks better bare for the rest of the day and the products applied during treatment keep working.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Usually yes, and the steps can be adjusted after the skin analysis. Tell your aesthetician about any reactions, rosacea or prescription skincare before you start.
